November 19, 2009 - Cycler / project announced
Scooped on Sunday, November 22, 2009
Don Murphy and Susan Montford's Angry Films have purchased the movie rights to Lauren McLaughlin's young adult novel Cycler. Published last year (with its sequel Re-Cycler out in 2009), McLaughlin's novel centers on a teen named Jill who, in addition to having to deal with the usual angst and ups-and-downs of her age group, has to contend with her body changing every month into a teenage boy named Jack. Jack has his own urges, fantasies and desires, and top on his list of priorities is finding a way to get out of Jill's bedroom where he's locked up for the 96 hours he's inhabiting Jill's body.
Angry Films is currently shopping the project out to directors and investors. [Full story]
