Oooo, big hair, hard rock music and stripper poles on the stage at a rock concert. It must be the 80s and/or the trailer for Rock of Ages.

Based on the hit Broadway musical of the same name, the trailer for next summer's Rock of Ages has made its online debut. Starring a tattooed Tom Cruise as superstar rock and roll bad boy Stacee Jaxx, Footloose's Julianne Hough as a small town girl with big city dreams and Diego Boneta as a wannabe rocker with musical talent, Rock of Ages is starting to be touted as the Gen X version of Hairspray.

Also starring in Rock of Ages is Alec Baldwin as the Sunset Strip nightclub owner; Catherine Zeta-Jones as a morally offended mom; Russell Brand as pretty much himself; Paul Giamatti as a talent agent; Malin Akerman as a groupie; and Mary J. Blige as a 80s diva singer.

The big moment in the Rock of Ages trailer is the reveal of Cruise as the legendary rocker Stacee Jaxx. The rest is just there to get you in the mood for the metal music.
