September 1, 2009 - Prince of Persia / McFarlane Toys will create action figures

McFarlane Toys is creating the design of action figures and movie play sets based on the upcoming Prince of Persia film. Set for release shortly before the film opens in theaters next May, McFarlane will release a series of four-inch figures, six-inch deluxe figures, horse box sets, movie play sets and a 10-inch collectible piece called The Dagger of Time. The figures will include different costumed versions of the film's hero, Dastan, plus some of his numerous adversaries that he encounters.

"It's always been a dream of mine to work with Disney," commented Todd McFarlane, creator of McFarlane Toys. "Their creative expertise and ability to bring fans top quality entertainment product and iconic characters is second to none. We're really excited about the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time licence, and it's great that we can celebrate McFarlane Toys' fifteen year anniversary by launching this exciting product line worldwide."
