October 4, 2010 - Just Cause / project announced

Screen rights for the Avalanche Studios video game Just Cause have been picked up by L+E Pictures. Eric Eisner and Adrian Askarieh (Hitman) are producing. Michael Ross (Turistas) is writing the screenplay.

The first game came out in 2006 and became a million plus seller while a sequel was released this past spring and has already surpassed its predecessor's final sales figure. The game is an action/adventure, putting you in the boots of a U.S. special ops agent named Rico Rodriguez who is sent on missions to destabilize foreign countries run by undesirables.

The idea is for Ross to finish the script before taking the project out to studios.
