October 29, 2009 - Avatar / second trailer released

Scooped on Thursday, October 29, 2009

The second trailer for James Cameron's Avatar has been released online, coming in with a runtime of three minutes and thirty-one seconds. With more emphasis on the character arc of wheelchair bound marine Jake Sully and his new life on the alien world of Pandora, this Avatar trailer does more to sell the film's story than the first teaser trailer offered.

While the story does feel familiar, it still looks to be an awesome ride.

I was impressed with the teaser trailer, and this one is even better. I absolutely can't wait to see this. The story does appear to be at least a bit derivative, but if it is told well, I don't really care.
