The Piranha sequel has gotten an appropriate self-referential title: Piranha 3DD. If you have to ask why, then you haven't seen anything from the first film, have you?

Dimension has also hired a director and writers to make the film, reuniting the Feast guys, namely director John Gulager and screenwriters Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan. The three worked on the first Feast film, which had a similar comedic horror vibe to it. Melton and Dunstan have written the past four Saw movies including this month's upcoming Saw 3D.

The studio hopes to have Piranha 3DD in theaters by August 2011. No casting deals are in place yet.
