May 16, 2011 - Maleficent / Tim Burton drops out of directing

Scooped on Monday, May 16, 2011

Tim Burton has moved off of directing Maleficent for Disney. Reasons weren't given but the buzz around Disney HQ is that David Yates, the director of the past four Harry Potter movies, may be a new candidate to direct the movie.

While Burton may be gone, Angelina Jolie remains attached to play the green villainess.
