Blade and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen director Stephen Norrington will rewrite and direct The Lost Patrol for Legendary Pictures. Steven Boyd and Rick Porras will produce the picture.

Described as a supernatural actioner set during the Second World War, Norrington described his new gig as full of "hardware, heroes, grime, insane monsters," and that it pushed all of his "geek-buttons."

The original draft of the screenplay was written by Andrew Hilton. Matt Cirulnick performed a rewrite last year on it.
