February 5, 2010 - Real Steel / open casting call

The makers of Real Steel are holding open casting calls this month for young males. They are looking for fresh talent to play the part of Max, a 10-14-year-old described as "a street-smart, tough, charming kid with a hard, untrusting outer shell which hides a warm enthusiastic spirit beneath. He is a complicated, strong-willed and resourceful boy."

Auditions are being held in Chicago on February 14 at the Chicago Academy of the Arts and on February 20 in New York at Shelter Studios. If you're not planning to be in either of those two locations on those days but are still interested in auditioning, DreamWorks has set up a website where you can submit a video audition.
