February 4, 2010 - Enchanted 2 / project announced

Disney has attached a director and hired a screenwriter to work on a sequel to their 2007 hit film Enchanted. Producers Barry Josephson and Barry Sonnenfeld are also back to work on Enchanted 2. The writer is Jessie Nelson (Stepmom) and the director is Anne Fletcher (The Proposal, 27 Dresses).

While no deals are in play for any of the first movie's stars, such as Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden or Susan Sarandon to return, the studio is hoping to secure the talent again for the second film. Details on the sequel's storyline remain unknown.
