August 23, 2010 - Heaven's Shadow / project announced

The rights to a forthcoming trio of science fiction novels created by Blade screenwriter David Goyer have been sold to Warner Bros. Heaven's Shadow is the first of the books written by Goyer and an unnamed partner and is slated for publication in July 2011. The premise involves a deadly meteor that is on a collision course for Earth. During the course of the novel it's revealed that extraterrestrials are behind the appearance of the meteor. Heaven's War and Heaven's Fall are the titles for the following two novels.

Goyer will write the screenplay for Heaven's Shadow as well as serve as a producer on it. [Full story]
