August 22, 2010 - Wolverine 2 / David Slade likely to direct sequel

Vulture is reporting that it's down to two candidates to direct the Wolverine sequel: David Slade (30 Days of Night, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) and Robert Schwentke (The Time Traveler's Wife, Flightplan). The site states that Fox has signed off on either gentleman getting the job and it's up to producer/star Hugh Jackman to make the call. An insider tells Vulture that it's going to be David Slade.

Actually, I'm OK with that. The action sequences in Eclipse were pretty good, and 30 Days of Night was pretty fair.

 

Not a lot of room to do worse the the first Wolvie flick....
