August 12, 2009 - Lego / project announced

After many years of carefully considering which Hollywood studio should help conceive a Lego movie, the Lego Group has partnered with Warner Bros. on a live-action film with animated Lego characters. Developing the project are Dan Lin (throug his Lin Pictures banner) and Roy Lee (of Vertigo Entertainment) with screenwriters Dan and Kevin Hageman working on the story. Details on the story are being guarded but Variety claims that it's an action-adventure premise presented in a family comedy format set in a Lego world. The film's producers and screenwriters have been secretly meeting with Lego executives in Denmark for a year working on the film's story. [Full story]
