Twins sequel Triplets in development with Eddie Murphy
Posted by Patrick Sauriol on Thursday, March 29, 2012
Even though it's been nearly 25 years since Twins came out at theaters, Universal Pictures, Montecito Picture Company and the movie's stars are hoping that there's enough interest out there to warrant a sequel. Titled Triplets, the idea is barely more developed than a zygote -- but it has both Twins stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito attached to the project along with the third (and newest) sibling: Eddie Murphy.
The idea would be that Murphy would play a long-lost (and previously unknown) third brother to Julius (Schwarzenegger) and Vincent (DeVito). Original Twins director Ivan Reitman isn't interested (at least, right now) in directing Triplets the movie but he is attached as a producer along with Montecito principals Tom Pollock, Ali Bell and Joe Medjuk.
And there's no writer working on a screenplay either. The idea is literally nothing more than just that: an idea that's gotten Schwarzenegger, DeVito and Murphy interested in possibly taking a paycheck down the road.
On this one I'd like to hear some reader feedback on the concept. What say you, the fickle public, on a Twins sequel movie called Triplets?

uhhhh... no.
i mean straightforward, no. In all honesty, NO.
My God has it really been 25 years since Twins was released? you're kidding, right? NO.
Eddie Murphy is involved? He still hasnt fired his Agent after Pluto Nash and Dave and all those other horrible movies he's done? NO.
Ah---nold is looking for a paycheck? Devito is interested? (It's Always Sunny in Philly must have ended in 2011...)
is this dumber than remaking Total recall without going to Mars?...yes, is this dumber than making the Ninja Turtles aliens from outer space? Unfortunately it is.
suck it hollywood... I've been waiting 28 years for a sequel to Buckaroo Banzai and you've failed on that too... because you suck.
yes....you do suck.
