Kelsey Grammer (Frasier), Megan Mullally (Will & Grace), Bebe Neuwirth (Cheers), Charles S. Dutton (Threshold) and Debbie Allen have all been hired to play the teachers for the next crop of young talent in Fame.
MGM's remake of the 1980 movie is set to begin filming this coming Wednesday. Allen, who starred in the original film, will play the principal of the New York City High School of Performing Arts while Grammer will be the school's orchestra maestro; Mullally an voice teacher; Neuwirth a dance instructor; and Dutton will play an acting teach.

As was the case with the original production there is a large cast of younger faces making up the school's student population including Anna Maria Perez de Tagle (Hannah Montana), Kay Pannabaker (CSI), Johanna E. Braddy (The Riches), Walter Perez (Friday Night Lights) and 3LW hip-hop singer Naturi Naughton.
