Toronto artist creates minimalist Tarantino posters
Posted by Patrick Sauriol on Wednesday, February 24, 2010
Ibraheem Youssef is a Toronto-based self-described art director and designer. He draws stuff, designs stuff, cooks stuff and even sells stuff on his website. The latest goods that Ibraheem is hawking are six posters he designed for Quentin Tarantino's movies: Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Parts I and II, Death Proof and Inglourious Basterds.
What makes Ibraheem's posters that much cooler is that his style is minimalist. For example, in the poster design for Kill Bill Vol. I there's a yellow dot at the center of the poster surrounded by dozens of black dots; if that doesn't make your brain conjure up the image of The Bride surrounded by the Crazy 88's in the House of Blue Leaves, you need to refresh yourself with a viewing of the film soon.

A limited run of 200 signed prints for each of the posters are for sale on the artist's website. Prices range from $32 to $95 bucks, depending on which one of the six that you dig the most.

Those are pretty cool. I love the Kill Bill Vol. 2 print with just the 5 footprints.
