Narnia director emigrates to Fountain City

Shrek and Chronicles of Narnia director Andrew Adamson is being tapped for his abilities bringing fantasy worlds to life by production house Lightstream Pictures. The filmmaker was wooed by Lightstream to direct a high concept (and high budgeted) live-action fantasy movie called Fountain City.

Priced at $100 million dollars (which is a big chunk of change for a independent company like Lightstream to raise all by itself, even if its founder is a billionaire), the movie will combine live-action and CG. Nothing about the movie's storyline has leaked out yet.

Adamson will produce Fountain City along with Shrek producer Aron Warner and Lightstream's Garrett Kelleher, Paul Currie and Lawrence Inglee.

While Adamson didn't direct or write the screenplay for what's being marketed as the final Shrek movie, Shrek Forever After, he is an executive producer on it.
