Glee star heads to Monte Carlo

With the return of Glee back on the airwaves it's kismit that one of its stars has lined up a movie to make in his off-season time. Cory Monteith, who plays Finn Hudson, will star alongside Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place), Andie MacDowell, Leighton Meester and Melrose Place's Katie Cassidy in Monte Carlo, a teen comedy/adventure from Fox 2000.

The Monte Carlo movie is based on a young adult book called Headhunters and follows Gomez's young lady character who visits the exotic destination and is mistaken for a wealthy socialite. Wackyness ensues when an expensive piece of jewelry vanishes and Gomez and her friends have to find out who scooped it. Monteith is playing the football playing boyfriend of Gomez's character while Meester and Cassidy are her two BFFs. Andie MacDowell gets to play the mom role. I'm sure that she's thrilled.
