Tomorrow evening the doors opening for this year's Comic-Con. I fully expect to be chained to my computer for the next six days, updating the site as film and television-related panels and announcements are made at the geek-tastic event.
One of the panels taking place is about Eric Powell's The Goon animated movie, based on his happy little comic book title of the same name. This toon flick seems to have been in development for years at Blur Studios, with only a preview image floating out there to let us know that it exists. Come this Friday that changes when Blur reveals more of The Goon movie in a panel taking place at SDCC. However, right now we have a preview of that preview, a short 30-second clip giving us a taste of the animation Blur is making for their Goon movie. The clip comes from MTV, once a place where music videos were shown in abundance; now we get the goombahs of Jersey Shore mangling the english language and worrying about their frosted hair.
I digress. Here's that Goon clip:
MTV promises that it'll toss up the full clip that will be shown at the panel after it wraps on Friday evening. Paul Giamatti, who provides the voice of Goon's trusted pal Frankie, will be at the panel along with executive producer David Fincher.

I thought I had this script, but it turned out to be one for Jay Baruchel's Goon. This could be as confusing as 2009's 9, Nine, and District 9. (Good thing these didn't all come out in 2007, back when the Ryan Reynolds-starring The Nines was in theaters.)
