In a move that may show how completely out-of-touch Brett Ratner is with what's considered cool in the world of comic books, the X-Men: The Last Stand director is attached to make a movie out of Rob Liefeld's critically panned but bestselling comic book series from the 1990s, Youngblood.

Director Martin Campbell breathed new life -- twice -- into the James Bond film franchise. In 1995 he directed the first of Pierce Brosnan's Bond films, GoldenEye, and revitalized Bond for a post-Cold War era. In 2007 Campbell returned to the world of 007 again with Casino Royale and, again, rejuvinated the spy by minting Daniel Craig with his license to kill.
