It's no secret that the era where X-Men: First Class takes place is the early 1960s, at the time that tensions between the United States and Russia and black vs. white right in America were reaching a head. With the June premiere of the movie still two months away, wouldn't it be cool to see what the opening title sequence looked like now?
Enter Vimeo user Joe D! who cooked up the fan-made treat you're about to see. Joe decided to make his own 60s inspired opening title sequence to X-Men: First Class as if the movie were an actual product of Hollywood from that era. Even the theme song, done in heavy bass and reverberating strings, is a retro version of the animated TV show's theme song. Mad Men, this is what you have wrought.
