Robert De Niro has been added to the cast of Dark Fields, a thriller with a slight science fiction overtone to it.
In the movie De Niro will play a highly successful business man who wants to work with a New York writer (played by The Hangover's Bradley Cooper). The writer has taken a new designer drug that gives the user increased intelligence, which he uses to advance his writing career.
Neil Burger (The Illusionist) will direct the movie which is slated to begin filming in May.
