You're going to hear about it soon enough, so why not from us? Current 007 star Daniel Craig has married his girlfriend, actress Rachel Weisz, in a secret ceremony last Wednesday. The news finally broke today and has been confirmed by reps.
Celebs get married all the time, and while it moves magazines and keeps Entertainment Tonight's staff employed, why is the Craig/Weisz pairing any different from any other star union? Well, their marriage does arrive with a little bit of scandal: rumors about Weisz hooking up with Craig first began late last year and only weeks after the actress and her ex-common law husband Darren Aronofsky issued a statement saying that their nine-year relationship had ended. The Black Swan director and Weisz have a four-year old son.
Craig also had a five-year relationship and had been engaged to Satsuki Mitchell. They broke up sometime in 2010.
And like other Hollywood romances, you can blame the Craig/Weisz coupling on a movie. The two were shooting the thriller Dream House last year when those romance rumors first began.
But let's get back to the present. The story being reported about the celeb wedding of the week is that only four guests attended Craig and Weisz's New York nuputals: Craig's 18-year-old daughter Ella, Weisz's four-year old son Chance and two unnamed individuals.
There's no word on where the couple are now or if they took a honeymoon vacation to begin their lives together as wife and husband.
It was probably just the ceremony itself that was secret.

How long should the time of a couple being married until the time that the whole world knows about it be for it to be considered a "secret marriage"? I know that most of these marriages will be announced before they happen, so any marriage that isn't public knowledge until after it happens could be considered "secret," but it's funny that I see people on twitter going on about the secret marriage that everybody apparently knows about. Worst secret marriage ever!
