Comic-Con 2009 partial schedule revealed

The 2009 Comic Con International has unveiled the line-up of programming for Wednesday and Thursday and it's loaded with plenty of movie and television related goodness. If this is what the con has in store for Thursday, heaven help those that cover it on the weekend.

I've selected just the movie/TV/DVD stuff to be found on those two days. If you're interested in reading the full programming schedule which includes comic books, video games, novels and other entertainment panels, you can find it on the official website.

 

Wednesday, July 22:

6:00 - 9:00 PM: Previews/presentations of three of 2009-10's upcoming new series: The Human Target, V and The Vampire Diaries.

 

Thursday, July 23:

10:15 - 11:15: Astro Boy presentation. On hand will be director David Bowers, producer Maryanne Grager and stars Freddie Highmore and Kristen Bell.

11:00 - 12:30: Disney 3-D panel. On hand and showing off clips from their new movies will be Robert Zemeckis (A Christmas Carol), Tim Burton (Alice in Wonderland), Sean Bailey and Steven Lisberger (Tron 2). Patton Oswalt moderates.

11:30 - 12:30: Hasbro G.I. Joe panel. Hasbro's marketing team will be discussing how the toy company is tying in to the G.I. Joe movie being released next month.

12:30 - 1:30: Battlestar Galactica retrospective. Composer Bear McCreary, producer Michael Taylor and science consultant Kevin Grazier will be attending the panel along with other "special guests". Moderated by Richard Hatch.

12:30 - 1:30: Hasbro Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen panel.

12:30 - 1:30: Dante's Inferno panel. Discussion about the upcoming EA game and they'll also probably talk about the movie in development too.

12:45 - 2:00: Avatar panel. James Cameron will be there. Nuff said.

1:15 - 2:15: Psych panel.

2:00 - 3:00: Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs panel. In attendance will be directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord plus the film's stars: Anna Faris, Bill Hader, Andy Samberg and Bobb'e J. Thompson.

2:00 - 3:00: Costume designers panel. The costume designers from Dollhouse, Lost, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and True Blood talk about their jobs.

2:15 - 3:15: Summit panel. Previews/discussion for Astro Boy, Twilight: New Moon and Sorority Row.

2:30 - 3:30: DVD/Blu-ray panel. The top DVD producers in the business discuss their jobs. Moderated by The Digital Bits guys.

2:30 - 3:30: Burn Notice panel. Bruce Campbell in attendence, yo!

3:00 - 4:00: Robot Chicken and Titan Maximum panel. The creators talk about the Chicken and show off stuff from their next series, Titan Maximum.

3:00 - 4:00: Masters of the Web panel.

3:30 - 4:30: The Hole panel. Director Joe Dante shows up to talk about his new horror movie filmed in 3-D.

4:45 - 5:15: The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus panel. Director Terry Gilliam will be there.

5:00 - 6:00: Dexter panel. In attendance will be Michael C. Hall, Julie Benz and Jennifer Carpenter plus writers and producers from the Showtime series.

5:15 - 5:45: Pandorum panel.

5:45 - 6:45: Kick-Ass panel. In attendance will be Nicolas Cage, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and director Matthew Vaughn.

6:30 - 7:00: Thirst panel. Director Park Chan-wook will be there.

8:00 - 9:30: Green Lantern: First Flight world premiere.

9:30 - 12:00: Trick 'r Treat panel/screening.
