To do some special marketing for their upcoming monster movie, Universal Pictures turned to the talented brushhand of artist Basil Gogos. If you're not familiar with Gogos' name, what you need to know is that he was the go-to man for the Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine in the 1960s, 70s and 80s, painting dozens upon dozens of covers for the beloved sci-fi/fantasy/horror publication. CHUD got the honors to break our first look at Gogos' Wolfman painting and it's a beaut!

Danny Elfman's score is out of The Wolfman. Officially the reason for Elfman no longer composing the score for the picture has to due with scheduling conflicts; he's busy working on the score for Alice in Wonderland right now. Since The Wolfman has been shuffled back five times from its original release date, it makes sense that Elfman's dance card is full.
However, Cinemusic theorizes it has to due with the film's reported problems with its post-production. Replacing Elfman will be composer Paul Halsinger (Death Race, Shoot 'Em Up).

Universal has moved back the release of The Wolfman from April 3 to November 6. Citing the need to give more time to the film's post-production schedule as well as to take advantage of the holiday season by giving the film a higher profile, the studio has now slotted the new Fast & Furious sequel in to open on the Wolfman's former release date.
