After the huge box office success of Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Sony Pictures wants to quickly develop a second movie for Kevin James to headline and carry on his own. The premise would find the comedian a high school physics teacher who finds a way to save the music program at his school from being axed by participating in mixed martial arts fights. After a number of bouts, the teacher's second job attracts the attention of the biggest MMA league in the world, the UFC.

The script for the project is being presently written by Allan Loeb (The Switch, 21) and will be produced by James and Todd Garner.
