Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release Underworld: Rise of the Lycans on Blu-ray ($39.95), DVD ($29.96) and PSP ($24.94) on May 12, 2009. The standard DVD will have the following bonus features: a filmmakers' commentary track; the "Deathclub" music video by William Control; and three featurettes: "From Script to Screen", "The Origin of the Feud" and "Re-creating the Dark Ages - The Look of Underworld: Rise of the Lycans".
Blu-ray consumers get all of the goodies found on the regular DVD as well as a picture-in-picture feature dubbed "Behind the Castle Walls" and an interactive map of the world showing all of the reported werewolf sightings from the past five centuries ("Lycanthropes Around the World"). Blu-ray viewers will also be able to access exclusive content and downloads from the Sony Underworld website.
