Jefft Nathanson has been hired by Summit Entertainment to make The Secret Life of Houdini: The Making of America's First Superhero as a possible new film franchise for the studio. The Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull and Rush Hour 3 writer will adapt William Kalush and Larry Sloman's 2006 book into a screenplay and also direct the movie. Summit hopes to that their Houdini project can be made into an action-adventure film similar in style to Warner Bros.' upcoming Sherlock Holmes picture. [Full story]
