When we last saw her character, soldier Rain Ocampo, she had gone down and turned into a flesh-hungry zombie in the first Resident Evil movie. Now Rodriguez has been confirmed for returning to play Rain in Resident Evil: Retribution. We have no idea how she's coming back, or if she's gotten better since we last saw her.

In a tweet issued by Sienna Guillory, the actress confirms that she'll star in the fifth Resident Evil film. "Retribution here I come!" she said to her online fans.
Guillory had played Jill Valentine in the second and fourth Resident Evil films.

Screen Gems has announced a release date for Resident Evil 5 -- and we're sure that it will get a subtitle at some point -- for September 14, 2012. And as was the case with the last film Afterlife, it will be in 3D.

According to series star Milla Jovovich, a fifth Resident Evil movie is going to happen. "This new Resident Evil is the first one to ever open at No. 1 worldwide," talking about Resident Evil: Afterlife. "It's the biggest movie in the franchise.
