Predators has received an R rating for strong creature violence and gore, and pervasive language.

Since the beginning of filming there has been a rumor that Arnold Schwarzenegger may make a cameo appearance somewhere in Predators. The revised draft of the screenplay from last year had Schwarzenegger's character Dutch show up at some point but if the California governor has filmed a quick scene with him, it's been kept ultra-secret.

Collider had the chance to ask Robert Rodriguez the question directly, and got a direct answer. Since it's somewhat of a spoiler you'll have to decide for yourself if you want to know the answer:

The official Predators website has now released the character video for Cuchillo, the Mexican drug cartel enforcer played by Danny Trejo.

A new character profile video has gone up at the Predators official website. This time it's for Edwin, the quiet bookworm-with-glasses looking dude played by Spider-Man 3's Topher Grace. Was this nerdy looking guy a mistake that the Predators grabbed for their game preserve hunt? Well, you know what they say about the quiet ones: you should worry about them the most.

Fox has released the first in what they promise will be a series of videos profiling the characters from Predators. The first up is Royce, the mercenary that Adrien Brody plays:

The first full-length trailer for Predators has come online courtesy of IGN. The set-up for the film's story is clean and the concept comes across smoothly in the preview. It's looking hopeful for a truly worthy sequel to the first movie.

At the newly launched Predators movie website you can watch a sneak peek of the sci-fi action. After a short clip where producer Robert Rodriguez welcomes you, behind-the-scenes footage comes at you fast and quick. You'll learn that there will be a new, deadlier breed of Predator introduced in the movie and also see three conceptual designs for animals native to the Predator gaming preserve planet where the film's action takes place.

The South By Southwest film festival just announced that there will be a "first look" screening of Predators on Friday, March 12 at 10:15 PM at the Alamo Ritz theater. After the screening there will be a Q&A with the audience with an unidentified person. Rodriguez? Antal?

Oleg Taktarov, the actor that plays Nikolai in Predators, took a dozen photos on the set of the film. Someone -- and we don't know if it was Taktarov or someone else who had access to his camera -- uploaded all of the photos to the web and they're now splashed across a hundred websites and growing by the hour. The photos show one of the alien sets on the Predator homeworld, several of the film's actors, Robert Rodriguez, the film's director Nimrod Antal and several of the body actors in their full Predator costumes (and also partially out of them.) In other words, Fox's publicity department is probably freaking out about this being the public's first look at the film -- even though what we've seen looks alright and promising.

Shock Till You Drop is reporting that new CSI cast member Laurence Fisburne (The Matrix trilogy, Armored) has joined the cast of Predators. The site says that Fishburne is playing a character named Roland.

Nearly all of the eight humans cast in Predators are now locked in their roles. According to Variety, Adrien Brody lobbed hard for the part of the film's central character, Royce, a hunter of bad guys that the aliens kidnap and take back to their homeworld to hunt down as sport. Joining Brody are:

• Alice Braga as Isabelle, an expert with the sniper rifle.
• Danny Trejo as Cuchillo, a Mexican drug soldier whose weapons of choice are twin Uzis strapped to his back.
• Walt Goggins as Stans, a hardened lifer from prison.
• Louis Ozawa as Hanzo, a Japanese Yakuza enforcer that uses a katana.
• Oleg Taktarov as Nikolai, shotgun specialist and massive bear of a man.
• Mahershalalhashbaz Ali as Mombasa, member of a Africa death squad.
• Topher Grace as Edwin, accountant by day, serial killer by night. Of all the cast Grace is the only one that's still in negotiations.

Brody's contract calls for sequel options if Fox wants him back.

According to a scooper for Coming Soon, former The Shield cast member Walter Goggins has been cast in a role in Predators. The site doesn't know what Goggins role is.

The actor played strike team member Shane Vendrell throughout the seven seasons of the police drama.
