Disney has sent us a newly updated synopsis of the film. It doesn't appear to be wildly different than what we've known before, but there's been just a little bit more explanation about the past relationship between Captain Jack and Angelica.
Here is what the studio is now using to promote On Stranger Tides:
Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Rob Marshall, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides captures the fun, adventure and humor that ignited the hit franchise—this time in Disney Digital 3D™. Johnny Depp returns to his iconic role of Captain Jack Sparrow in an action-packed adventure. Crossing paths with the enigmatic Angelica (Penelope Cruz), he’s not sure if it's love—or if she's a ruthless con artist who’s using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the "Queen Anne’s Revenge," the ship of the legendary pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know whom to fear more: Blackbeard or Angelica, with whom he shares a mysterious past. The international cast includes franchise vets Geoffrey Rush as the vengeful Captain Hector Barbossa and Kevin R. McNally as Captain Jack’s longtime comrade Joshamee Gibbs, plus Sam Claflin as a stalwart missionary and Astrid Berges-Frisbey as a mysterious mermaid.

USA Today premiered two new stills from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides that we have to share with you. In one you see Johnny Depp up to waist-high water with Penelope Cruz's still-unnamed pirate character (who happens to be the daughter of Blackbeard.) The other shows Depp's Captain Jack being dragged through the Painted Hall of the Old Royal Naval College to meet with King George II.
You can see the other photo in our PotC: On Stranger Tides gallery.

Ahoy! The teaser poster for On Stranger Tides was spotted first by IMP Awards. Those rascally scally-wags may have found the treasure first but that's not preventing the rest of the Internet from plundering their scoop.

The first photo of Ian McShane dressed up in costume as Blackbeard was published by PopSugar this past weekend. In the spy snapshot we see McShane, Johnny Depp dressed as Captain Jack and Penelope Cruz as Blackbeard's daughter preparing for a scene as crew members bustle around them.

That immensly cool looking vessel is The Queen Anne's Revenge, the floating home of the pirate Blackbeard. The photo appears along with an article in the Hawaiian newspaper Ke Alaka'i talking about the filming and the locals reaction to it. Most people are thrilled because it's giving them an opportunity to see Johnny Depp decked out in his Jack Sparrow costume, and for a lucky fortunate, have their photo taken with him.

A Mr. Jerry Bruckheimer tweets to his followers, "On location in Hawaii....CAPTAIN JACK IS BACK. Pirates of The Caribbean On Stranger Tides, coming Summer 2011." And then he gave us the photo that you see on the left of an actor that we believe is Johnny Depp. Wasn't he in that old 21 Jump Street TV series back in the '80s?
