Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight, Battle: Los Angeles) has won the role of the President in Olympus Has Fallen.

The first day of filming is scheduled for September.

Gerard Butler is attached to star in the lead role (as well as produce) the action-thriller Olympus Has Fallen. The script is being described as "Die Hard in the White House" and would see the 300 actor play an ex-Secret Service agent who is called upon to stop a terrorist attack on the President's domicile.

Millennium Films is the home for the project. Also onboard as a producers with Butler is Millennium's Mark Gill.
