On her blog screenwriter Katherine Fugate confirms that she's already been hired by New Line Cinema to write New Year's Eve, a sequel of sorts to Valentine's Day. ""New Year's Eve is an even bigger ticking clock than Valentine's Day -- everyone knows that, globally -- you kiss at midnight, you start a new year, you start over," Fugate explains.
And if the sequel is a success, what follows New Year's Eve? "I'm going to pitch Mardi Gras," she quips.
