While interviewing X-Men Origins: Wolverine producer Lauren Shuler Donner for the DVD release of the film, Slashfilm's Brendon Connelly learned that the filmmaker was considering going in and pitching to 20th Century Fox a New Mutants movie. To be based on the first X-Men spinoff comic book series that Marvel Comics published in 1981, the idea behind both the movie and comic follows a new group of teenagers who enrol at Professor Xavier's school to better harness their superpowers.
Shuler Donner didn't provide any further details about this new project such as if she is working with a writer or if she has already approached the studio about her idea. [Full story]
