TV Guide exclusively reveals that a fourth Mission: Impossible movie is being developed by Mission: Impossible III and Star Trek director J.J. Abrams and Tom Cruise. "I am incredibly honored that Tom has invited me back as producer on Mission: Impossible IV," said Abrams in the periodical. "Tom and I have come up with a really cool idea we are pursuing."

What that idea is remains an unknown, for now, as well as what studio the movie would find its home at. Cruise's production deal with Paramount Pictures ended when the studio released him in 2006. The most likely new home for the M:I franchise would be at United Artists, the studio that Cruise and his producing partner Paula Wagner now have creative control of. [Full story]
