Imagine Entertainment has hired Danny Strong to adapt The Lost Symbol into a screenplay.
Strong wrote the scripts for HBO's upcoming Sarah Palin biopic Game Change, as well as the earlier Recount. He's an actor-turned-screenwriter, best known for portraying the character Jonathan on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Strong's Symbol work would mark the first time he's worked on a feature film.

Movement is starting to happen on the sequel sequel to The Da Vinci Code with the hiring of screenwriter Steven Knight (Dirty Pretty Things) to adapt Dan Brown's novel The Lost Symbol. Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons producers Brian Grazer and John Calley are already involved in the picture's development at Columbia Pictures; however, director Ron Howard isn't a sure thing just yet. A little more certain is the likelihood of Tom Hanks to reprise his role of super-smart Harvard professor Robert Langdon in the movie.
A start date for filming isn't as yet on the horizon.
