I'll admit, I don't know the comic book at all, but with a few minor exceptions this character sounds like a blatant rip off The Dark Tower's "Roland" the Last Gunslinger.

Awhile back Thomas Jane did a makeup test of Jonah and sent it into the directors or whomever because he really wanted the part. And actually, it was a pretty good photo. From what I read though, they passed off the idea. Looking back at it now though, I think it would be a good choice to go for Jane.

I keep my standards low, that way im never dissapointed

Actually, Jonah Hex predates "Roland" by at least 10 years.. Jonah first appeared in All-Star Western, Issue #10, 1972!

Hopefully if this does well someone will take on "The Dark Tower" series. Would be awesome on HBO!
