The Zombiemeister just showed the one-sheet for Halloween II on his MySpace page and it has the tagline "Family is forever." The image on the poster ain't exactly family friendly.

Zombie's back on his MySpace page with a new update today, this time applauding the work of Wayne Toth for creating the special makeup effects we'll see in the movie. Toth previously collaborated with the filmmaker on House of 1,000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects and the first Halloween, so he's well versed in what Zombie wants to see on screen and that's plenty of gore.
Zombie also shared three new photos, one of himself and Toth talking about the bloody form of Scout Taylor Compton, the other two a mangled latex head of some unfortunate soul. The detail on the head is fanastic.
And in other news the sequel now has an official website domain: www.halloween2-movie.com.

The Weinstein Company has updated its placeholder page for H2 and given a synopsis of the film:
"It's that time of year again, and Michael Myers has returned home to sleepy Haddonfield, Illinois to take care of some unfinished family business. Unleashing a trail of terror that only horror master Rob Zombie can, Myers will stop at nothing to bring closure to the secrets of his twisted past. But the town’s got an unlikely new hero, if they can only stay alive long enough to stop the unstoppable."

Here's a clear look at (supposedly) one of Michael Myers' many looks in H2. As you can see the telltale mask of Michael is pretty tattered and his clothing is pretty ragged. That look matches reports that Michael has

Rob Zombie answers an question on his MySpace website that he gets asked a lot these days: "Is this movie a remake of Halloween 2?"
"The answer is no," states the director. "This movie has nothing to do with the movie that came out back in 1981. The only thing slightly the same is my film has a brief hospital scene at the top of the film and even that is 100% different. These are all new characters and all new situations. This is not a remake of a sequel, this is the continuing story of the Halloween I started. So hopefully that clears up that confusion."
And then Rob gave us this awesome new photo of Michael in the hospital wishing its employees a safe and happy Halloween.

The first official photo of Michael Myers has been released on Rob Zombie's MySpace page along with word that photography has wrapped. "Well, after 35 days of snow, freezing rain, fire ants, mud and blood we are done!" writes the Zombie. "The cast and crew kick ass beyond ass to bring you the most demented Halloween ever! In less than five months Michael will be back in your face! And speaking of face... here is your first glimpse of one of the many faces Michael 2009."
What Zombie is refering to as "the many faces of Michael" goes along with the reports that

Five photos from an exterior location set are up at Bloody Disgusting. Why are there a ton of Haddonfield police cars and an ambulance at a home in what looks to be the middle of nowhere? Is Michael hanging around that falling down barn?

Two sites now have their own collection of H2 set photos. At Rated-M there are 14 shots showing off various front lawns of homes dressed up for Halloween plus a couple of neat shots of Dr. Sam Loomis' book about that crazy killer Michael Myers. Over at Shock Till You Drop they landed the first spy photo of Tyler Mane in his Michael Myers costume and it's kind of a strange look:

Rob Zombie has released the first still from H2 on his MySpace page and posted a new update. "Well, we made it through the first three days. Everything is going great. This film is going to blow away my last trip to Haddonfield. Ultra gritty, ultra intense and very real. Here is a sneak peek of Laurie moments after being wheel in to the ER."
Since we've got confirmation that the sequel is now shooting we've moved this film's phase up a notch and into production. We've also added Malcolm McDowell and Scout Taylor-Compton to the cast.

While it's still amazing to consider that Rob Zombie has a MySpace page, the big lug is very good at updating it frequently. His latest communiqué shows us the new Michael Myers mask that will be seen in H2 still in its molding phase. Created by Wayne Toth, the new Michael mask is more distressed than the one the killer wore in '07's Halloween.
