According to The Los Angeles Times' entertainment blog, 24 Frames, Lars and the Real Girl director Craig Gillespie has entered into talks with DreamWorks to helm the Fright Night remake. The blog states that the studio was down to three candidates and then entered contract negotiations with Gillespie last Friday.

Marti Noxon has been hired to write the screenplay for the Fright Night remake. Her past credits include writing and producing television shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Prison Break, Grey's Anatomy and Mad Men. [Full story]
