Talks are underway for Ellen DeGeneres to lend her voice as Dory, the memory-challenged blue fish in Finding Nemo 2. DeGeneres has mentioned several times on her highly-watched daytime talk show that she would love to play Dory again in a sequel.

Pixar and Disney have announced plans to make Finding Nemo 2, and the director of the first film is coming back. Andrew Stanton is returning under the digital waves in a follow-up to his 2002 film, considered one of the best that Pixar Animation Studios has ever made.

Nothing is known about Nemo 2's storyline or how many of the first film's original cast members will return to their fishy roles. The screenplay is being written by Victoria Strouse, a writer whose script The Apostles of Infinite Love was selected on the Black List for 2008. Lindsey Collins is producing.
