A red band trailer for the French release of Chloe has popped up online (and brought to our attention by David Poland's The Hot Blog). Seeing Amanda Seyfried showing some skin is why we dig the French when it comes to cinema.

The first two photos from Atom Egoyan's Chloe have debuted online in a New York Times article about the film. Two of the photos are stills from the film while one shows director Egoyan and actress Amanda Seyfried discussing a scene (seen on left.)
The Times article is deep and worth the read. There are quotes from the director and producer Ivan Reitman about how the film pulled together its financing, how it weathered the tragic loss of Natasha Richardson (which resulted in leading man Liam Neeson having to break away during its production) and on Chloe's subject matter of marriage, sex and infidelity. Test screenings have been conducted and the makers say that the audience feedback was good.
"It will have interesting overtones because it is about how precious a marriage is," Egoyan told the Times about his new picture. "Maybe it will always be known as the film Liam was working on when that happened. But ultimately we finished the film, and Liam is magnificent in it. Now all we can do is wait and see."- The New York Times. Comment on this Scoop (0)

With the shocking and untimely passing of Liam Neeson's wife Natasha Richardson yesterday, the filming schedule of Chloe has been thrown into disarray. Neeson had been in Toronto making the film when his wife sustained her injury at a nearby ski resort. After learning of Richardson's condition Neeson immediately left the set of Chloe to be with his wife. Obviously his work duties are the farthest item in his mind but making a movie is an extremely costly affair. No one knows how Neeson's absence from the set may or may not hamper Atom Egoyan's schooting schedule or whether the production will be temporarly shut down.Comment on this Scoop (0)

Chloe will be the next picture for filmmaker Atom Egoyan. The erotic thriller, to star Julianne Moore (Blindness), Liam Neeson (Taken) and Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia!), begins filming on February 9 in Toronto.
A western remake of the 2003 French film Nathalie, Egoyan's film centers on a female doctor who hires a call girl to see if her husband has a wandering eye. That decision sets off a chain of events that places the well-being of the three people in jeopardy.
StudioCanal is financing the film and will handle the international sales. [Full story]- Variety. Comment on this Scoop (0)
