Promotional videos aren't new to movies, but even so, it's unusual to see a software product like Norton anti-virus software being used to promote a superhero movie like The Avengers. Yet that's exactly what the Symantec software company has done.
The three-minute video features interviews with one of the movie's stars, Robert Downey Jr., director Joss Whedon and producer Kevin Feige, talking about the whys and wherefores of assembling several Marvel movie heroes in one big superhero movie.

Composer Alan Silvestri has been hired to score The Avengers. A veteran of movie soundtracks, Silvestri's scores include the Back to the Future trilogy, The Abyss, Predator, Grumpy Old Men, Forrest Gump, Lilo & Stitch and last summer's other Marvel movie, Captain America: The First Avenger.
"This is actually a very unique experience [for me]," Silvestri said on Marvel's website. "I've worked on films where there have been a number of stars and certainly worked on films where there have been characters of equal weight in terms of their level of importance and profile in the film, but this one is somewhat extreme in that regard because each of these characters has their own world and it’s a very different situation."
Asked how he'll approach the movie's score and multiple main characters, Silvestri commented, "It's very challenging to look for a way to give everyone the weight and consideration they need, but at the same time the film is really about the coming together of these characters, which implies that there is this entity called the Avengers which really has to be representative of all of them together."
