So Jamie Foxx is confirmed as Electro in Spider-Man 2.

I don't know enough about the character. Is this good, bad or remains to be seen?

I'm kind of mixed about it. On the one hand, I kind of like Electro visually in the comics. Though he's caucasian, I don't think changing his race affects him. On the other hand, electricity is overused in movies, so it can definitely make for a more run of the mill type movie, if not done differently. Plus, I highly doubt they'll keep his costume intact, so that'll make him even more generic.
