B-S-FRAKKING-G!

Posted by Jakester on Friday, February 27, 2009

So, piano dude wasn't there. Kara's playing "All Along the Watchtower" and Hera's composing it.

What's it mean? Since her Dad taught it to her, I'm going with the theory that Daniel is her Daddy.

The Chief is a moron. And yet, unlike last week, I totally bought his actions.

How did the rest of the fleet show up at Earth 2? They were already supposed to be at the rendezvous point, no? If Earth 2 *was* the rendezvous point....Whatthefrak?!

You missed the comment from the new admiral about "we were so glad to see that Raptor jump in to the rendezvous point," or something to that effect.

If you'd quit daydreaming about hot Sam in the glowing bathtub, maybe you could have paid better attention to the details.

Clearly, it was all about hot Sam. Thanks for that. I need to watch it again.

I never heard that one either, one minute Adama was screaming at starbuck to jump and she asked "with what co-ordinants?" and he simple screamed "pick some numbers anywhere but here dammit.. Jump jump!!!" and off she went to fufill her destiny as the harbinger of.. uh... Earth?

and then a few hours later the rest of the fleet showed up. In the past, if one ship "picks" jump co-ordinates they have to find the fleet by jumping back to the old co-ordinates and looking for some ion trails or something to lead them to the rest of the fleet.. if they dont jump.. they're separated rom the fleet.

If Kara Thrace pulled jump co-ordinates out of her ass (even if they were the Jimmi Hendrix Cylon activation song) then they'd never be able to redevouz with the remainder of the fleet.

perhaps it also seems like devine intervention that a dead raptor pilot can successfully shoots off all six of her nukes post-humously from her disabled Raptor after her ship is struck by a fleeing Cylon Raider and lining up her raptor perfectly with the Cylon Homeworld? (Was this single event to draw a parallel to the fall of Caprica?????)

The only question remaining is: How long before we see the definitive complete box-set BSG on DVD and how much will it be?

I just went to Amazon looking for some books. I looked up BSG. Season One - including the mini-series is on sale there for only $23.99 new.

i think the ONE thing I hated about the BSG DVD box sets is that they are $100 (2.0 and 2.5 are $50 each) then i think 3 is sold as one collective volume for $50 and now season 4.0 just gets released with Razor for $50.

half a season for $50? c'mon.

Finally saw it last night. I am a few weeks behind as I have been saving them on my Sky+ box to watch with a friend who loves the show but doesn't have Sky TV.

Loved it. So sad to see it go. The only nitpick I have is the 150k years later flash forward. I just thought Adama on the hilltop talking to Roslin's grave was the most emotionally touching ending. By that point I was starting to have flashbacks to the Return of the King multiple ending overkill ('Fracking end already!!!!').

I now have a hole in my life that needs filling. I think I will use Crystal Meth !!! ;)

cause this pivital scene in the second viewing a week later. man, blnk and you'll miss something but then again it should have dawned on me that it IS the Galactica thats messed up, the raptors on Galactia all had FTL drives and could easily jump back to the fleet (the fleet wasnt involved in the main battle, only Galactica was), they jumped in and nobody thought to pre-program the FTL co-ordinates back to the main fleet the entire time they were "docked" on the Cylon homeworld. if they had just set up the FTL with the jump numbers then waited for their pilots to get back, they would have been set to jump.

and yes that ship took a real pounding... you would never see that type of abuse with the Enterprise.

Maybe because if one of the Raptors or the Galactica got captured then the Cylons would know the location of the fleet.... sitting there with nothing but a decrepit old Basestar for protection?

Exactly why Trek .... is trek.

Trek doesn't have to set jump coordinates, anyway. They just engage the warp drive and "head thataway."

I guess that Adama figured that either they'd have time to leisurely enter the coordinates, or they'd not be going back at all. That might be a reach, though.

He did say it was likely to be a one way trip.

yes.. he did say that... and then he gave his Admiral pips to some geek we've never seen before and shortly thereafter got them back when unknown Geek #1 claimed "that the pips were too heavy for him to hold" uh huh.

Hoshi's been around since Ressurection Ship and was more featured in "The Face of the Enemy", where we learn he was someone's lover.

Helo was Galactica's XO for a while, but since he was in the rescue mission (along with whatever officers was left), it had to go to another officer.
